Chai Masala

Sweet and Savory

  • Yield: 25 g

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp ground ginger
  • 12 green cardamom pods
  • 6 whole black peppercorns
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp whole fennel seeds
  • 1 black cardamom pod
  • 2 in/5 cm piece cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole star anise pod

Instructions

  1. Place all the spices together in the jug of a spice mill, coffee bean grinder, or high-speed blender. Pulse until the mixture turns into a fine powder. Transfer to an airtight container and store for up to 1 month at room temperature or 3 months in the refrigerator.
